La Iglesia at Chichen Itza
La Iglesia at Chichen Itza A structure separate from the Nunnery, the building known as "The Church" has multiple representations of the Long Nose God -- Chaac--the Sky Serpent. The masks are on the corners and along the sides.
In the same area is the east face of "the Nunnery" and the same masks
are seen in a double row across the bottom (door) panel and as a single row
in the section above that.The door is surrounded by the long noses. Over the
door is a figure of an important person with a large headress.
