The Temple of the Three Lintels is one of the finest buildings at Chichen Itza. The Long Nosed God adorns each corner of the perfectly proportioned building. It dates to Late Classic Times. It is located on the western edge of the metropolis about 1 mile from the Nunnery. The modern trail leading to the building partly follows a sacbe. The trail goes through several ruins including the Temple of the Phallus, the Temple of the Owls and the Date Group. Few tourists seem to have the time to visit these buildings, and more than once I have met people that have got lost in the maze of trails that head west from the main site.
