The Building known as "the Nunnery" is one of the largest structures at Chichen Itza.On its east side (to the left in the picture above) lies beautifully adorned walls and a smaller separate building known as La Iglesia. The Nunnery was built over several centuries and the present structure overlays several of greater age.
